chicano moratorium

1) What further questions/comments do you have about this historical event?
I think that Ruben Salazar is kind of like my hero because he stood up for us chicanos and he died for what he believed in.

2) One African American veteran said of his experience in Vietnam, "Why should I come over here when some of the South Vietnamese live better than my own people back in the States". What do you think he meant by this?
I think he ment that, Why should he fight somebody that basically has the same enemy? why should he fight somebody that has never done anything to him when the real struggleis back at home?

3) What issues do you believe should be marched for today (perhaps similar issues that were marched for in 1970)?
I think racism should be marched, also discrimination, budget cuts for schools, and immiration status.

4) BONUS: For the girls who attended the forum, please reflect on your experience. What did you think of the speakers and/or film? What further questions do you have? What feelings did you leave with?
My expirience at the forum was something different, inspirational and motivational, the speakers were awesome dude! lol their words showed how strong their beliefs are and how they are luchando to make a change, one of my questions is, What would happen if all chicanos would get together and fight together? would we be able to make a change? and my feelings are stronger and also are my beliefs.
